EDIT POINTS TOOL: edit an object as a path
-----------------------------------------------------------
- Select an object with the Object tool.
- Choose the Edit Points tool. You can now edit the object
as a path instead of as an object. Its size handles will
be replaced by point and curve handles. You can add,
delete, move, join, split and align points. You can also
convert lines to curves and curves to lines.
- Press and hold Shift and Alt, then click on another
object's path to switch objects.
- Press Esc or choose the Object tool to return to object
mode.
Notes:
- Only one object can be edited at a time.
- Press Shift to select multiple points.
- Press 'v' to align selected points along a vertical line.
- Press 'h' to align selected points along a horizontal
line.
- Press 'b' to align selected points along both axes.
Edit Point Coordinates:
- Select a point.
- Hold down Shift and click on the Edit Points tool to open
the Edit Point requester. Change the coordinates of the
point, its curve handles (if applicable) and the previous
point.
JOIN POINTS TOOL

- Select two endpoints.
- Choose the Join Points tool. The mouseform will change to
full-screen crosshairs. Position the mouse and click to
join the points.
SPLIT POINTS TOOL

- Select a point.
- Choose the Split Points tool. Two endpoints will be
formed.
DELETE POINTS TOOL
------------------
- Select a point(s).
- Choose the Delete Points tool. The point will be removed
from the path.
ADDING A POINT
--------------
- Press and hold Alt.
- Click anywhere on a line or curve segment. A new path
point will be added.
LINE TO CURVE TOOL
------------------
- Select a line segment(s).
- Choose the Line to Curve tool. Curve handles will appear
for the segment.
CURVE TO LINE TOOL
------------------
- Select a curve segment(s).
- Choose the Curve to Line tool. The segment's curve
handles will disappear.
